Recent Art Show: Psychologically There
Thank you to the Kwantlen artists who enjoyed the space for a week in June. The sculptures in this picture were created by Daryl Markiewicz.
What is 206 Carrall you ask?
206 Carrall is a beautiful heritage studio in downtown Vancouver. Located at the bottom of Carrall Street in Gastown, this street-level space lies in one of Vancouver’s most trendy areas of city.
The studio consists of 4.5 rooms and a loft in the back room. The first of the rooms, the “gallery”, presents a blank canvas backdrop of pure white walls. Following along the red exposed brick wall to the left, you are lead into to two more rooms in the middle of the studio; a smaller office-sized space and a larger room with brick walls surrounding two white walls. Heading back further you will find the room containing the kitchenette (a fixer-upper), and the bathroom. The last room is a long rectangular room with concrete floors, high windows, and a staircase that leads up to the loft.
